I created STUDIO ASTRSK in 2021 as a creative outlet during the pandemic. As a multi-faceted creative, I often find myself diving into new hobbies, testing out new mediums and looking for a way to keep myself inspired. During the pandemic, I found myself burning through candles so quickly, that I decided to pick up candle-making as a hobby. Not too long after, I realized I could share my love for candles with everyone and I created STUDIO ASTRSK. I decided to build my brand around sustainability when I noticed how much waste went into buying and burning candles. I ensured that everything I was using to create and ship my candles (even down to the ink on the boxes) was made of 100% sustainable materials, the candles were hand-poured using 100% cotton wicks and natural soy wax and any glass candles were either thrifted or donated recycled containers.
